The Brahma Temple’s evening prayers begin at 6 pm, so if you arrive around then you can catch the main ritual and the light on the ghats in one go. After the boat ride, a quick walk to the Jwalamalini temple takes about 10 minutes and lets you see the temple’s lantern display before you head back. If you need a place to sit and watch, the pavilion near the main ghat is free and open.
