If you’re short on time, take an auto straight to the main gate from the Roorkee railway station it takes about five minutes. Inside, you can spend a few minutes at the central shrine and then head to the kitchen for a free thali; no sign up is needed. If you want a quick rest after the langar, the Ambrosia Sarovar Portico in Haridwar is about eleven kilometres away and offers decent rooms.
