If you catch the last cable car lift before sunset, you can still walk up to the viewpoint on a clear trail. The lights there create a nice twilight view of the valley. After that, the Kangri café stays open until about 8 pm and serves quick Himachali thalis. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more upscale, a short detour to the Apple Orchard Resort in Dhanaulti offers local dishes and a relaxed ambience. Do you think you’ll have time to hit the resort before heading back to Manali?
