October afternoons at Bekal still feel warm, but the sea breeze starts to pick up right after sunset. It can lower the temperature by a few degrees, especially along the outer wall. A light hoodie or scarf is handy for the walk back. If you want a warmer spot to relax after the fort, Fortview Suites offers a good sea view and comfortable rooms.
