    You might also consider a short walk to the western shore of the island where you can spot the riverbank villages and get a good angle for sunset photos. If you have a bit more time, the boat to Umananda is still worth it because the temple’s lamps glow early in the morning, giving a quiet atmosphere before the midday crowd. For a quick base nearby, the Resort Borgos is a convenient spot to grab a coffee before heading out.
