A quick option is to stay at Surya Heritage Hotels in Kannur, just over 8 km from the temple. From the Parassinikadavu bus stop you can catch a local bus that takes about 15 minutes to Kannur, then hop on an auto for the last few minutes. While in Kannur you can stroll through the old Kannur Fort area, which is free and gives a taste of the town’s history. After the temple visit, a short walk to Payyambalam Beach offers a nice sunset spot without any cost.
