If you’re staying at the Emerald Hotel you can walk to the Tlawng River in about 15 20 minutes and beat the midday crowds. After a short break, a cab to Durtlang Hills takes roughly 20 minutes and gives you a nice view before heading back. A quick stop at a nearby tea garden on the way to the river can add a pleasant break.
