A good spot right on the Badrinath Joshimath road is the dhaba near the falls; they serve a tasty paneer bhurji and a sweet kheer that’s a local favourite. If you prefer a sit down meal after the walk, Faraway Cottages in Joshimath has a simple kitchen with typical Uttarakhand dishes. On the way back you can try the roadside churros and fresh kheer at the tea stall at the road’s end.
