If you’re looking for a calm, less crowded dip, the best months are October through March. The water is cooler and the flow steady, so you can stay a while without being rushed. A morning visit is usually quieter than an afternoon, especially early in the season. If you’re staying nearby, the Courtyard Nashik offers easy access to the ghat and comfortable rooms.

If you’re staying in Belur, the Sunshine International Boarding & Lodging is a short drive from the Halebidu bus stand and gives easy access to the temple. After your early morning visit to Hoysaleswara, head to the Halebidu Archaeological Museum, then take a quick auto to Belur Chennakeshava Temple. For sunset, the temple courtyard offers a good view of the Kaveri River just before it meets the town. A local dhaba near the temple serves simple dosa and filter coffee that’s popular with visitors.
