Since the lake is open 24 hours and entry is free, you can park early in the main lot and walk straight to the Chaurasi Temple without backtracking. If you start the Gauri Kund trek at 6 am, the trailhead is just a short walk from the temple, so you’ll save a few minutes and avoid the midday heat. After the trek, you can head back to the lake area and then to Dharamshala, staying at Shree Guest House for a relaxed evening. TravelIndiaDeals may earn a commission if you book through this link.
