A good tip is to start the trek right after visiting the temple in the early morning, so you’re on the trail before the mist lifts. In October February the trail is usually dry, but you can still see a light drizzle in the afternoon; pack a quick dry jacket and a rain poncho just in case. If you plan to stay overnight, Hotel Ambika International Byndoor gives you easy access to the temple and a comfortable base for the trek.
