If you’re looking for a quick drop, the shared cab from the airport usually lands right at Lonavala Railway Station, and from there the 12A bus takes you straight to the lake entrance. The walk is only about ten minutes, or you can hop on an autorickshaw for a five minute ride. The 12A runs until roughly 10 pm, so you can return after sunset without missing the last bus.
