If you’re already in Itanagar, the staff at Hotel Su Pinsa can line up a local driver for you. The taxi will take the NH13 to Bomdila and then a short hop to the Mechukha Bus Stand. The drive is about three hours, so leaving around 8 am keeps you out of the afternoon heat. If you do fly into Lilabari, the extra winding drive from there adds a couple more hours, so a bus from Itanagar is usually quicker.
