If you’re heading in the first week of September, the trail will be almost empty by the second week, and local guides will be free to set a relaxed pace. Also, keep in mind that the village shops open a bit later that month, so arriving early might mean a short wait for water or snacks. A stay in Sangla at Zostel can give you a more budget friendly base while still keeping you close to the route.
