October mornings are usually dry and you can start your walk from Galta Ji before the heat peaks. The route to the zoo is about 5 km, so a brisk walk takes around 45 minutes, and the path goes through some shaded tree lined streets. If you prefer a quick break, the cafe inside the nearby Jai Mahal Palace is a convenient spot to grab a cold drink before heading to Hawa Mahal. This way you avoid the hottest part of the day and still see all three sites.
