If you’re heading straight from Pathankot Railway Station, the 15 minute local bus to the fort’s bus stand is the quickest. On that route you’ll cross the Shahpur Kandi Barrage, which is a nice spot for a river shot, and just outside the bus stop you’ll find a small tea stall that serves fresh chai and samosas great for a quick snack before you climb the steps. A phone camera will capture the fort’s stonework fine, but a small tripod can help steady shots of the barrage.
