If you’re heading back to Yuksom after the monastery, a quick stop at The Elgin Mount Pandim Pelling gives a nice break and a view of the valley. The coffee there is fresh and the staff know the best times to see the monastery’s murals in natural light. It fits nicely into a single day.

I’m interested in exploring historical sites around Nuranang Waterfalls. What nearby attractions have historical significance? Is the 22 km distant Sela Pass worth a visit for its past military use?
