If you start in the first week of September, most trekkers have already slipped back into the valley by the second week, so the path to Chitkul is almost deserted. That means you’ll have plenty of time to wander without crowds and still enjoy the local guides who are free to tailor a slower pace. Have you thought about a day break trek to catch the early morning light before the trail opens up?
