Where to stay for a quick stop near Lalitgiri Buddhist Complex?

Nilesh Grewal · 4 weeks ago ·17 replies

I’ll be passing through Lalitgiri for a brief layover and need a place to rest. The complex itself is free to enter and open all day, so I’d like a hotel close enough to avoid extra travel time. Most of the listed hotels are 40‑50 km away in Bhubaneswar, while Cuttack is a bit closer but still a drive. Which accommodation would you recommend for a short stopover? Also, is there reliable cab service from these hotels to Lalitgiri?

If you’re looking for a short stay that’s still close to Lalitgiri, the Lyfe Hotels Bhubaneswar is a solid option. It’s about 44 km away, so the drive takes roughly an hour. Most of the hotels in the area offer a daily or hourly taxi service that can drop you off at the complex, and the driver usually knows the route well. Just let them know the exact name of the site and the time you need to be there.

It’s about an hour from Lalitgiri and most hotels in Bhubaneswar run a daily shuttle that can drop you off at the complex. Just give the driver the site name and your arrival time, and the route is usually straightforward.

If you’re looking for a quick stop that’s a bit closer than the other options, the Mayfair Lagoon Hotel is only about 44 km away. They usually have a dedicated taxi line that can drop you at Lalitgiri, so you don’t need to arrange a separate cab service. Just let the front desk know the site name and your expected arrival time, and they’ll handle the rest.
