What’s the weather like for a family visit to Jatashankar Temple in November?

Farhan Kale · 11 hours ago ·6 replies

Planning a family trip to Jatashankar Temple in November, I’d like to know what weather we can expect. Since the temple sits in the hills of Pachmarhi, do we usually get cooler mornings and evenings with mild afternoons? Also, November is listed as a good month to visit – will the temperatures be comfortable for kids and seniors alike? Should we pack any special gear for the cave setting?

November in Pachmarhi is usually mild mornings and evenings dip to the low 15 20°C, while afternoons stay in the high 20s. It’s comfortable for kids and seniors, but bring a light jacket for the cooler start and finish of the day. The cave area can be a bit damp, so a waterproof pair of shoes and a small umbrella are handy. If you’re staying nearby, the Hotel Pachmarhi offers good proximity to the temple.

Nice question! In November the mornings and evenings can drop to the low teens, but afternoons stay in the high 20s. It’s usually comfortable for kids and seniors. A light jacket and a waterproof pair of shoes are best for the cave walk. If you’re staying close, the Hotel Pachmarhi is just a short walk from the temple and has good access to the trail.

Good point about the cave walk. The entrance is a short climb, so a sturdy pair of closed toe shoes with good grip is a must, especially for the older kids. If you plan to stay overnight, the WOW STAYZ2 Hotel Misty Meadows is just under a kilometre away and has a nice breakfast that can help keep everyone energized for the trek.

You might also want a quick dry towel for the cave’s damp air. Some visitors report light mist in the evening, so a light raincoat could help if you’re staying overnight. Have you checked if the local guide offers a walk through of the cave’s less steep sections?
