What quick meals can I grab near Baijnath Temple on a tight schedule?

Soham Shinde · 2 weeks ago ·17 replies

I only have a few hours to spare while visiting Baijnath Temple, which opens 24/7 and is free to enter. Could anyone suggest a few quick food spots close to the temple that serve decent local food? I’m hoping for something that can be eaten on the go and isn’t too far from the temple complex. Also, if there’s a popular local snack near the bus stand, that would be great.

A quick option near the bus stand is the small stall that sells “bhandara” a spicy lentil mix wrapped in a flatbread. It’s inexpensive, portable and you can eat it while walking back to the temple. If you prefer something sweet, try the local “phirni” served in a paper cup it’s light and easy to carry.

If you’re looking for something quick after the temple, the roadside stall near the bus stand that sells “bhandara” is a solid choice. It’s cheap, portable, and you can grab it while walking back. If you’re near the temple itself, a small tea stall on the main road serves steaming cups of masala chai and a handful of roasted peanuts easy to eat on the go. Do you have a preference for spicy or sweet snacks?

You might want to try the small roadside stall that sells “bhandara” right next to the bus stand it’s a spicy lentil wrap that’s easy to eat while walking back. If you’re closer to the temple, there’s a tea stall on the main road that offers hot masala chai and roasted peanuts, perfect for a quick bite. Both spots are within a few minutes’ walk from the temple.

A good quick bite right near the main road is a small dhaba that serves “samosa chaat.” It’s a thin pastry with spicy potato filling, folded in a paper cone so you can eat while walking back. If you’re willing to walk a few minutes farther, the corner stall opposite the bus stand sells fresh “gupchup” a sweet, chewy snack that’s easy to grab on the go.
