What food options are good for a solo traveler at Patiala Mall?

Tushar Sarma · 13 hours ago ·6 replies

Hi everyone, I’m a solo traveler planning to visit Patiala next month. I’m interested in the food options at Patiala Mall, which has a food court with diverse cuisines and is open 24/7. I’m looking for recommendations on whether to stay inside the mall for a meal or if there are nearby spots worth a quick trip, perhaps near Qila Mubarak or Baradari Gardens. Any tips on affordable local Punjabi snacks or good street food in the area would be appreciated.

If you’re looking for something quick and local, head to the stalls near Qila Mubarak. You’ll find chaat stalls that serve pani puri, aloo tikki, and samosa at very reasonable prices. The street food there is fresh and spicy, and it’s only a short walk from the mall. If you want a sit down, the mall’s 24/7 food court has a good mix of Punjabi thali options that won’t break the bank.

If you’re up for a short walk, the stalls right outside Qila Mubarak are great for quick Punjabi snacks. They serve spicy chole bhature and freshly made jalebi at very low prices. For a sit down option a bit farther out, you can head to the Baradari Palace area where a few local cafés serve authentic parathas and lassi. The food court at Patiala Mall is convenient if you want a full meal without leaving the mall.

If you’re looking for something quick but still local, the stalls right outside Qila Mubarak serve spicy chole bhature and fresh jalebi at very low prices. For a sit down option a bit farther out, a few cafés near Baradari Palace serve authentic parathas and lassi. The mall’s 24 hour food court is convenient if you want a full meal without leaving the mall.

If you’re looking for a quick bite near Baradari Gardens, there’s a small dhaba that serves butter chicken and naan for under ₹150. It’s only a 5 minute walk from the mall and the stalls there often have a fresh paneer tikka that pairs well with the local lassi. You could try that before heading back to the mall’s 24 hour food court for a heavier meal.
