How do I get from East Fort to Kuthira Malika Palace Museum?

Annette Pandya · 1 week ago ·17 replies

I’m staying near East Fort and want to visit Kuthira Malika Palace Museum. The palace is only 0.5 km from Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and the nearest bus stop is East Fort Bus Stand. Since cabs are available, should I walk or take a taxi? Also, is there a convenient way from the railway station or the airport?

Since the palace is only half a kilometre from Padmanabhaswamy Temple, walking is quick and lets you stroll past the temple’s gates. If you prefer a short ride, a taxi from East Fort Bus Stand will take you straight to the palace entrance in about five minutes. From the railway station, the nearest stop is the Padmanabhaswamy Temple stop a short walk from the palace and from the airport you can take a cab or a local bus that drops near the temple area. If you stay at Super Townhouse Trivandrum Near Padmanabhaswamy Temple, you’ll be even closer to both sites.

Otherwise a cab from East Fort Bus Stand will drop you right at the palace entrance in roughly five minutes, usually for a flat fare of around ₹60 ₹80. From the railway station, the Padmanabhaswamy Temple stop is a short walk, and from the airport you can catch a local bus that stops near the temple area.
