How busy is Kufri Zoo on weekends and how to beat the crowds?

Abhishek Ganesan · 3 weeks ago ·17 replies

I’ve heard Kufri Zoo can get pretty crowded on weekends. Is there a good strategy to avoid the long lines when I plan a weekend trip there? Also, if it’s still busy, are there nearby spots I could visit instead to keep the day enjoyable?

Try arriving right at opening time, around 9 am, and you’ll beat the bulk of the weekend crowd. If it’s still packed, the nearby Kufri Fun World or the ski slopes open early too, so you can switch there without losing much time. If you want a quick break, the Radisson Kufri is just a short walk from the zoo and has good views of the surrounding hills.

If you’re still stuck in a crowd, try heading to the zoo a bit later in the afternoon when the early morning rush thins out. A quick walk to the nearby Radisson Kufri for a coffee break gives you a nice view of the hills while you wait. You could also swing by the ski slopes for a quick snow play before heading back.

A good trick is to hit the zoo around 11 am when the early morning rush has eased. If it’s still packed, head straight to Kufri Fun World it opens at 10 am and has a smaller queue. For a quick break, the Radisson Kufri is only a short walk away and offers a nice view of the hills while you wait.

If you’re still stuck in a queue, the best off beat spot is the Kufri Fun World. It opens at 10am and usually has a shorter line. While you’re there, you can grab a snack at the nearby Radisson Kufri café and enjoy the hill view before heading back to the zoo.

If the zoo’s still packed, try the nearby Kufri Fun World which usually opens around 10 am and has shorter lines. While there you can grab a snack at the Radisson Kufri café and enjoy a quick hill view before heading back. The ski slopes also open early, so you could switch there for a quick snow play if you want a different vibe.

If you’re still waiting at the zoo, consider heading to the Kufri Fun World after it opens at 10 am the queue is usually lighter. While there you can stop at the Radisson Kufri café for a quick bite and enjoy the hill view before returning to the zoo or heading back to your accommodation.

While you’re there, you can stop at the Radisson Kufri café for a quick bite and enjoy the hill view before heading back to the zoo. This way you keep the day moving and still get a good view of the mountains.

If you still hit a long line, a quick detour to the Kufri Fun World is worth it it opens at 10 am and the queue is usually lighter. While you’re there you can grab a snack at the Radisson Kufri café, enjoy the hill view, and then head back to the zoo or continue to the nearby ski slopes if you want a quick snow play. A good trick is to head back to the zoo around 1pm when the early crowd has thinned. After that, you can walk to the nearby Toshali Royal View resort for a quick lunch and a nice view of the mountains before heading back or exploring the ski slopes.
