Cheap lodging near Manasa Devi Temple while passing through Haridwar?

Parth Randhawa · 4 weeks ago ·17 replies

I’ll be in Haridwar for a day, just passing through. I want to visit Manasa Devi Temple – it’s open all day and free to enter – and then grab a quick meal. Do you know of any budget-friendly hotels or hostels close to the temple? I’m hoping to stay within a few kilometers and not spend too much on transport.

Since the Manasa Devi Temple is right on the Ganga banks, staying at MJ Sarovar Portico Haridwar puts you just a few minutes away on foot. The hotel offers decent basic rooms and a free breakfast, so you can keep the budget low. After visiting the temple, you can grab a quick meal at a nearby dhaba; the area around the river has several inexpensive options that serve local thalis.

If you want a bit more budget friendly option a short walk from the temple, Abhyudyam Ganga is about 0.4 km away. The rooms are modest and the price is lower than the Portico. It also has a small on site cafeteria, so you can grab a light bite before heading out for the thali near the river. TravelIndiaDeals may earn a commission if you book through this link.

Hotel Krishna Ji is just over half a kilometre from the temple, so you’ll still be within walking distance. The rooms are rated 3.5 stars and it’s a bit pricier than Abhyudyam, but the hotel often includes a complimentary breakfast, which can save you a few rupees on a quick meal before you head out for the thali.

Hotel Trimurti is only about 650 metres from the temple and offers simple rooms at a lower rate than the Portico. The staff usually give a quick breakfast, so you can eat before heading out for a thali near the river. It’s a solid budget choice if you want to stay close.

If you’re looking for a very tight budget and still close to the temple, try the rooms at Hotel Trimurti. It’s only about 650 metres away, so you can walk in a few minutes. The staff usually give a quick breakfast, so you can eat there and then head out for the thali near the river. The rates stay lower than the higher rated options, and the location is super convenient.

If you want a quick stay, the Hotel Trimurti is only about 650 metres from the temple and has a small on site cafeteria where you can grab a light breakfast before heading out. A nearby dhaba on the riverbank serves a thali for around 200 rupees, so you can keep costs low and still enjoy a decent meal.

You might also consider staying at Hotel Trimurti it’s just a short walk from the temple and the staff often provide a quick breakfast. After you finish the temple, you can head straight to the riverbank dhabas for a thali that usually costs around 200 rupees. This keeps the overall spend low while keeping transport minimal.

If you’re okay with a bit more modern feel, the Ekaanta hotel is only about 0.55 kilometres from the temple and has a small on site café that serves simple breakfast items. The rooms are clean and the rates are slightly higher than Trimurti but still reasonable for a short stay.

If you’re staying at MJ Sarovar Portico Haridwar, you can walk to the temple in under a minute. After you finish, head down the riverbank to the small dhaba at the corner of Ganga Road they serve a thali for about ₹200, so you’ll keep the meal cheap and the walk short. This spot is a favorite among locals for quick, tasty food.

MJ Sarovar Portico is just 0.15 km from the temple, so you can walk in under a minute. If you’d rather stay a bit farther, Abhyudyam Ganga is 0.4 km away and still a short stroll. Does anyone know if the dhabas on the riverbank take card payments, or do they only accept cash?

If you stay at MJ Sarovar Portico Haridwar you’ll be right by the river. A quick walk takes you to the temple and then to a dhaba on Ganga Road that usually accepts both cash and card. That way you can grab a thali for about ₹200 and still keep transport costs minimal.

You could also check out Hotel Trimurti it’s just under 700 m from the temple and often offers a quick breakfast. A small dhaba right on Ganga Road serves a thali for about ₹200, and most places now take card payments, so you won’t need to carry large cash amounts.
