Best route from Port Blair to Adda Beach when passing through?

Paramjit Vaz · 3 weeks ago ·17 replies

I’m heading out of Port Blair and want to stop at Adda Beach. There are a few roads that could take me there – one that goes near Radhanagar Beach (about 12 km from Adda) and another that heads toward Elephant Beach (15 km away). Which route would be shorter or more scenic if I’m just passing through? Also, is there any difference in the water‑sport options or beach‑activities along these routes?

The route that passes near Radhanagar Beach is only about 12 km from Adda, so it’s the shorter leg if you’re just passing through. It also gives a quick stop at Radhanagar, which is known for calm waters and good snorkeling spots. The Elephant Beach detour is a bit longer at 15 km and offers more windsurfing and paddle boarding options. If you’re looking for a quick beach break, the Radhanagar side route is more efficient.

The 12 km route via Radhanagar is the shorter pass through. If you’re looking for a quick beach break with calm water for snorkeling, that’s the way to go. The 15 km detour toward Elephant Beach gives you a bit more windsurfing and paddle boarding, so you’d pick that if you want a bit more action before heading back out. Any idea which water sport you’re hoping to try?

If you’re just in a hurry, the 12 km detour via Radhanagar is the fastest and gives you a quick stop at a quieter beach ideal for snorkeling. The 15 km route to Elephant Beach is a bit longer but offers more wind surfing and paddle boarding options, plus a slightly more rugged shoreline. If you decide to stay a bit, the TSG Grand is just a short walk from Adda and has a good pool to relax after the beach.

If you’re only stopping briefly, the 12 km detour via Radhanagar is the quickest and gives you a calm spot for a quick snorkel. The 15 km route to Elephant Beach is a bit longer but has a rougher shoreline that’s better for windsurfing and paddle boarding. If you decide to linger a while, the TSG Grand is only a short walk from Adda and has a nice pool to relax after the beach. TravelIndiaDeals may earn a commission if you book through this link.

If you’re only stopping for a quick break, the 12 km detour via Radhanagar is the fastest. It keeps you on a smoother road and you can drop by the TSG Grand for a quick swim or coffee before heading back out. The Elephant Beach route is longer and a bit rougher, but it does offer more wind surfing gear if you’re looking for a bit more adventure.

If you’re just passing through, the 12 km detour via Radhanagar is the quickest. It’s a smoother road and you can drop by TSG Grand for a quick swim before heading back. The Elephant Beach turn adds a few extra kilometres but gives a rougher shoreline that’s better for windsurfing. Either way you’ll hit the same calm waters near Adda.

The 12 km detour via Radhanagar is the shorter leg, but if you have a bit more time the Elephant Beach route gives a rougher shoreline that’s better for windsurfing and paddle boarding. Both ways keep you close to Adda, so you could pop into the TSG Grand for a quick swim or coffee after your beach stop.

If you’re okay with a few extra kilometres, the Elephant Beach turn gives a slightly more rugged shoreline that’s popular with windsurfers. A quick stop at Hornbill Nest Resort nearby can let you grab a coffee before heading back. The Radhanagar detour is shorter but the beach itself is calmer, so pick based on whether you want a quick snorkel or a bit more surf action.
