Bhimkhoj is very close to Dhauli about a 10 minute drive so you can hop straight from the mythic spring to the Ashoka Pillar and reliefs. The reliefs show the Kalinga battle in vivid detail, giving a tangible link to ancient history. After that, a quick walk to Lingaraj Temple lets you see its impressive architecture. If you need a rest spot, Hotel Jasmin Palace in Angul is only about 13 km away.
