If you’re staying at the Emerald Hotel, the walk to the Tlawng River takes about 15 20 minutes, so you can beat the midday crowd. From the river you can hop in a cab to Durtlang Hills in roughly 20 minutes, where the ridge view is worth the drive. On the way to the river, you might stop at a nearby tea garden for a quick break.
