Early morning arrival at Sella Pass – how long to stay?

I plan to arrive at Sella Pass early in the morning. How many hours should I spend there to fully enjoy the panoramic views and the biodiversity before heading back? Also, would you recommend any nearby places to visit after the pass before heading to the next destination?
