Should I also hit Rama Krishna Beach or Visakha Museum after the Submarine Museum?

Indrani Swaminathan · 2 hours ago ·5 replies

I’m planning to drop by the INS Kursura Submarine Museum in Visakhapatnam, and I’ve heard the entry is free and it’s open all day. The place is right next to Rama Krishna Beach, only about a kilometre away, and the Visakha Museum is just 2 km out. I’m on a tight budget and want to make the most of a single day. Would it make sense to add either of those spots to my visit, or is it better to focus solely on the submarine museum?

If you’re already heading to the submarine, a quick walk to Rama Krishna Beach is worth it you can stretch your legs and maybe catch the sunset. The Visakha Museum is a short drive away, so if you have a little extra time you could swing by for a quick look at the local history displays; it’s free and only a couple of kilometres from the submarine site.

The submarine takes a few hours, so if you have a couple of extra hours you could walk to Rama Krishna Beach for a quick stretch and maybe a snack from a nearby stall, then head to the Visakha Museum on the way back. The museum is only a short drive away, so you can fit it in without a big time hit.

You could grab a quick bite at a stall near Rama Krishna Beach before heading back to the submarine. The beach is only about a kilometre away, so a short walk won’t eat much time. If you’re staying nearby, the Super Townhouse Gajuwaka Near CMR Mall is just under a kilometre from the museum, making it a convenient spot to rest before heading back.

If you’re already near the submarine, the Super Townhouse Gajuwaka Near CMR Mall is about a kilometre away and could be a quick spot to grab a coffee or stretch before heading to Rama Krishna Beach. That way you keep the day tight but still hit both the museum and a nice beach walk.

If you’re staying near the museum, the Super Townhouse Gajuwaka Near CMR Mall is only about 0.9 km away a quick walk to grab a coffee before heading back to the submarine. The beach walk takes around 10 15 minutes, so you can fit both in a few hours without rushing. If you want a snack, there are stalls right by the beach that serve local seafood and coconut water.
