Short stopover in Faridabad: best time to visit Nahar Singh Cricket Stadium?

Tanvi Sidhu · 1 month ago ·22 replies

I only have a quick stopover in Faridabad this September and I’m wondering when would be the best time to visit Nahar Singh Cricket Stadium. The stadium is open 24 hours and entry is free, but I’d like to catch a live match or a guided tour if possible. Also, since I’ll only be around for a few hours, what nearby spots can I quickly drop by?

The stadium usually hosts matches on weekdays from 4 pm to 8 pm, so if you land around noon you’ll catch a game. A quick walk to the nearby Sector 42 market gives you street food and a chance to stretch your legs. If you want a place to grab a bite close to the stadium, Foxtrail Sector 42 AM Hotel Kollection is only about 22 km away and has a good café on site.

If you’re only there for a few hours, try catching a weekday afternoon match most games run from 4 pm to 8 pm. If you want a quick walk after the stadium, the Sector 42 market is a short stroll away and has plenty of street food stalls. For a quick coffee break you could pop into Foxtrail Sector 42 AM Hotel Kollection, which is only about 22 km from the stadium. Does anyone know if the stadium offers any short guided tours during the day?

The stadium usually offers a short 30 minute guided tour around 10 am, so if you arrive early you can walk through the stands before the afternoon match starts. After the game, a quick detour to the Gurugram Heritage Museum is just a 10 minute drive away and gives a taste of local history. If you need a place to grab a coffee, Foxtrail Sector 42 AM Hotel Kollection is only about 22 km from the stadium.

You can catch a weekday match from 4 to 8 pm, so if you land around noon you’ll see the game start. The stadium also offers a short 30 minute guided walk at 10 am, perfect if you arrive early. After the match, a quick 10 minute drive to the Gurugram Heritage Museum gives a nice local history bite. If you need coffee, the Foxtrail Sector 42 AM Hotel Kollection is only about 22 km away.

If you can arrive before 10 am you’ll catch the short 30 minute guided walk the stadium runs. After the match, a quick 10 minute drive takes you to the Gurugram Heritage Museum, which is a nice quick history stop. For a quick coffee you could head to Foxtrail Sector 42 AM Hotel Kollection, just over 22 km away. Does anyone know if the guided tour includes a behind the scenes look at the locker rooms?

The Gurugram Heritage Museum is just a ten minute drive south of the stadium and opens at 10 am. If you’re there before the 10 am guided walk, you can squeeze in a quick visit before heading to the 4 pm match. Also, if you have a few extra minutes after the game, a short walk to the nearby Sector 42 market gives you quick street food options without straying far from the stadium.

You could also grab a quick bite at goSTOPS Gurugram right after the match; it’s on the same road and has a decent café. If you’re tight on time, the stadium’s free parking lot is only a few minutes’ walk from the entrance, but it fills up fast on match days. A quick 10 minute drive south takes you to the Gurugram Heritage Museum, which opens at 10 am and is a nice quick history stop. If you need a place to sit and relax after the game, Foxtrail Sector 42 AM Hotel Kollection is only about 22 km away and has a good café on site.
